Weapons of the Gods - Greek Mythology

The god Hephaestus stood out for his creative ability.

Such creativity has taken place in its forge of creation.

Hephaestus was responsible for making much of the magnificent equipment of the gods, and almost every kind of metalwork endowed with magical powers that appears in Greek mythology is thought to have been made by the god.

Hephaestus was working with the aid of the chthonic Cyclopes, his assistants in the forge.

He also built metal automata that worked for him; among these were tripods that had the ability to go and return to Mount Olympus. Hephaestus gave the blind Orion his apprentice, Cedalion, to be his guide.

In one of the versions of the god's myth, Prometheus would have stolen the fire he gave to the men of the forge of Hephaestus. This would also have created the gift that the gods gave the man, the Pandora woman and his whistle. Like a skilled blacksmith, Hephaestus made thrones for the Palace of Olympus.
